1 A Letter from James Scott Hutton, principal of the Halifax Institution for the Deaf and Dumb to a Dr. L.R. Morse at Lawrencetown thank him for collectiong money for the school, dated March 25th, 1867
The letter is one sheet folded to make 4 pages, s The letter is folded but in very good condition 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm) The envelope is in poor condition with one 5 cent stamp (blue on blue paper cancelled by oval grid) and on the reverse a small one part circle Halifax/Nopva Scotia/MR 26/67 and a two part circle Lawrence-Town/NS/MA 27/1867.

Both dated March 3rd. 1921 Both single sheets, typed with House of Commons Ca One letter has rust stains from paper clips the other has a few very small brown marks 10 x 8 inches 
One letter is address to the secretary of Carnegie Endowment for International Peace recommending McNeil for the fellowship and the other is to McNeil stating 'I have pleasure in sending you herewith a letter which I hope will serve your purpose.'
